Our Mission

2018 marks the 38th Gallup Gallop in Ann Arbor's signature park. But, this is a year of many  firsts.

For the first time in Ann Arbor Track Club history, we will run our race on a Friday night. In doing so, our team has created a race to celebrate Ann Arbor's rich running scene. A showcase for Ann Arbor's amazing community, the relay race will have special divisions for running clubs, local businesses, and students.

Live bands, a complimentary post-race buffet, and a campfire-like atmosphere will create the ultimate setting for runners to rub elbows, and exchange war stories.

We are also very proud to be partnering with Food Gatherers for the first time in 2018. Food Gatherers provides over 6.5 MILLION pounds of food to the community every year, and helps support over 170 health and wellness programs. For every dollar that Gallup Gallop raises, Food Gatherers is able to generate three meals for community members in need.

While the Gallup Gallop is an event hosted by Ann Arbor Track Club, running clubs from across the region are encouraged to display their colors with pride. Running clubs and stores from across the region will be on-hand to promote their organizations, and show how amazing our community is.

When re-imagining the Gallup Gallop, our team made a list of things we love and hate about races we have run. We also made a list of things we wish races would do. We've used these lists as a compass in our decision making, and are extremely proud of the race we have in store for 2018.

Join us on September 7th for the 5K experience that only the Ann Arbor Track Club can provide.
