After a successful relaunch of Gallup Gallop in 2018, we are doubling down on our efforts for this year’s race.
Thanks to Ann Arbor’s incredible running community, we were able to raise over $2,500 and 3,000 pounds of fresh produce for Food Gatherers. We will once again partner with Food Gatherers, and aim to generate even more funds and food in 2019.
Lillie parkrun volunteers provided some much needed bandwidth for course marshals, aid stations, course setup, and packet pickup last year. They will be playing an even larger role in 2019, with Lillie parkrun director, Stephanie Evans, co-directing Gallup Gallop with Brent McDermott.
Ann Arbor Track Club provided all the necessary resources to Brent’s team last year, but was not the only running club to make the event a success. Promotion / participation from Ann Arbor Running Co., PR Run Club, Ann Arbor Tri Club, Ypsilanti Running Co., Bad Decisions Track Club, and M Run showed incredible our running community is in Ann Arbor.
